Vesrtappen has 8 seasons and counting. Maybe the 8thbseason will be his first F11 Championship. Insulting and agravating Hamilton by media and fans will NOT help him win this season championship. Lets wait and see; maybe he is the Media and fans' Great White Hope. ..22-09-2021 01:17

Alonso has been milking the small & insignificant skirmish w/ Lewis. Alonso had nothing to lose, Lewis demonstrated that patience is the key to success in racing. He forget to mentioned how a rookie Lewis beat him to the wire w the same car. It was a mistake by McLaren in not bringing the rookie in the pit while leading what cost the rookie the winning a 1st Championship. I invite the pundits to revisit that race in China. Alonso is and has always been a whiner and prompt to blame others or fabricate excuses for his failures, Alonso would never beat Lewis in the same car and that is a proven fact.22-08-2021 22:49

A correction in my above comment: I intended to say that Max is superior; the “don’t” is a misspell.21-08-2021 02:11

I don’t think that Max is superior to Alonso in terms of defending his position. I remember Vetel and other complaining about Max maneuvers to avoid being passed. He was accused of more than 2 moves to cover the pass. What Alonso did to hold Lewis in Hungary was nothing of the ordinary, Lewis wasn’t to risk his point and showed why he is a 7 times champion: patience. He waited for the right and safe opportunity. My point; Max had nothing to learn from Alonso, other than whining, complaining, and blaming others for his failures. Max, will learn to be patient and understand that the race isn’t won in few laps…. It’s who is in front at the flag. He for sure learn more from his own mistakes and all the issues that happen in the track… he very smart in addition of extraordinary driving skills.21-08-2021 02:08

I think that Max is indeed, a great talent and have a great future. No doubt that with the right machine, he will be winning championships. However, at Thais point in his career, he is fighting with a 7-times champion, who has earned his mental and physical stamina through tough competition. It is easy to document these facts, the pundits and fans can easily check it out, there are tons of videos and race results and columns documenting his path. So, to compare Max mental strength with that of Lewis, is ludicrous. Max is still a kid, a tough and determined kid who wants to win at all cost. That attitude (this toy is mine) can be his Aquiles heel. To win races under adverse conditions, under pressure, require maturity and calmness under pressure. Max cannot win consistently, unless he stop whining on the radio about every little thing that he will face in a long race. There are 20 cars in the track, and all the drivers are capable of fighting under certain circumstances. Complaining that a slow car in front is impeding him. Any driver can pull an Alonso manoeuvre to impede passing, and there cannot be a complain, just be calm and pass asap. Again, no whining or complaining. My point, a true F! Champion most have an strong mind, no place for whining.17-08-2021 09:10

Sooo! You do know what transpired inside the McL operations. There is a lot of information, that if you take off ur hateful & hypocrisy hat, you will be educated on what transpired that year. Alonso’s comment are more spot on and I congratulate him for being honest and straight forward.16-08-2021 18:51

Emerson has lost his marbles. Alonso was paired w/ Hamilton in McLaren, same car. Alonso was the reigning champ at the time, Lewis was a kid coming up from F2. I invite Emerson to do a little search in Google, to check out what happened that season. Lewis was leading the championship by 14 points and leading the race in China. The only thing that could stop Lewis was a DNF, and McLaren found a way to screw his W was holding Hamilton out for too long, and his car w/no rubbers slept in the wet at pit entry and that was it. Excuses would never erase the screwup. and the lost championship as a rookie for Hamilton. The rest is history. Nelson was always a mediocre driver.25-07-2021 01:37

RedBull shouldn’t be complaining about this kind of racing contacts. This is what F1 is all about. It’s not a driving Miss Daisy thing, it’s a”macho” thing. If RB start whinnying for a racing contact,it’s better for them to quit, and stay in the energy drink business.F1 hard racing is for the ones with the courage to go to the limits, no whining accepted. Many great & courageous drivers have been lost as a result of car racing, and they knew of the dangers of the sport. My point, car racing isn’t for the weak.During a race, drivers have to make split second decisions while moving @200 mph, there is not much time for analysis or judgement. You cannot criticize or abuse a driver for an split second wrong/right decision. Hamilton made a decision to slip inside Max and that is it,no time to get it back.18-07-2021 19:35

Yes! Sure, blowouts are out of the control of the driver, but tire management is! That is what makes a driver a champ! Bring the car home. Max is driving aggressively, and there will be many times that he won’t bring the car home in one piece. This is Maxx 5th season, and has won exactly “0” championships while Ham had won by his 5th season, 2. Sure, that Ham makes mistakes, bunch of them. When u’re driving @ 200 KM/H, decisions are made in split seconds, so? to criticize one of these young fellows in F1 for making errors, is unfair & stupid.07-06-2021 01:35
